Saturday I went for a hike in the Sandia Mountains to escape the 100 degree heat of Albuquerque. It was cooler in the mountains and there were butterflies all over the place.
Did I choose a cute little butterfly photo to share with you today? Oh, noooooo. When I sat down to catch my breath I looked across the trail and there was this giant tangle of roots staring back at me. It was fascinating. I thought it might look interesting in black and white. The more I look at it, the more weird faces and things I see in the jumble of roots and bark.
I don’t know – maybe it was the altitude getting to me. ;D
